Creative Resume Templates

Color bands, sidebars, photos and timelines, for roles where how you present yourself is part of the job. Best when a person reads your resume first.

12 designs. Your words stay put when you switch, so try as many as you like.

Using a creative template well

Know who reads it

Creative designs are made for people. Most are rated design-first, because tracking systems can misread bands and sidebars. Send them by email or bring them to interviews, and keep a one-column copy for job portals.

Let one idea lead

A timeline, a photo or a color block: each design has one strong idea. Keep the rest of the page calm so it can work.

Show the work

In design, media and marketing roles, a link to your portfolio does more than any layout. Put it with your contact details.

Questions

Are creative resumes a good idea?

In creative fields, hospitality and roles with the public, often yes. In law, finance or government a quieter page usually serves you better.

Do creative templates pass applicant tracking systems?

Not reliably, and most are rated design-first. If you apply online, switch to an ATS-friendly template for that application; your words carry over.

Can I change the colors?

Yes. Every template takes any of the builder's 24 colors, and the photo can be framed, given a colored frame or turned black and white.
