A cover letter that matches your resume

Write it for one job, with the company and the hiring manager in front of you, in the same design as your resume.

How it works

  1. Start from your resume

Pick one of your resumes and the letter takes its name, contact details and design, so the two look like a set. Or start blank.

  2. Write it for one job

Fill in the job, the company and, if you know it, the hiring manager's name. Ready-made paragraphs for the opening, your experience, why this company and the close give you a start; the parts in brackets are yours to replace.

  3. Download and send

PDF for email and upload forms, Word when an employer asks for it, plain text to paste into a form. The PDF has real, selectable text.

Questions

Do I still need a cover letter?
Not for every application, but often. When a posting asks for one, send one; when it says optional, a short letter written for that job helps, especially when you are changing careers or your resume does not explain itself.
How long should a cover letter be?
Shorter than a page: three or four paragraphs, about 250 to 400 words. Say why you are writing, what you would bring, why this company, and close politely.
Can my cover letter match my resume?
Yes. Start the letter from your resume and it uses the same template, color and paper size. You can also give it any of the 57 templates on its own.
Does VirezoCV write the letter for me?
No. You write it, with ready-made paragraphs to start from and tips beside the fields. Nothing is generated, so the letter says what you mean.
Is the cover letter builder free?
Writing and previewing are free. Downloading a cover letter works the same way as downloading a resume: it is part of Pro, and one plan covers both.
